Evgeni Malkin > Sidney Crosby?

Ever since day 1, everyone has said Crosby will be the modern Wayne Gretzky and that he will be a hockey God. To me, Malkin is clearly the better of the two and more valuable to the Penguins. Not to mention he doesn't dive nearly as much as Crosby. Anyone else think Malkin > Crosby?

Huh, Crosby has 71 giveaways in 71 games, with 51 takeaways.
Malkin has 80 giveaways in 76 games, with 87 takeaways (first in the NHL). Seems pretty even, if not in Malkin's favor because of the takeaways.

Also, Malkin has 107 points this year, if NHL coaches are really putting their worst defensive pairs against Malkin every game, then they seem to be way more retarded than you think these people are.

Also you said Crosby isn't greedy...ok neither is Malkin. 74 assists this year!!!!

Oh and as for Crosby diving....he doesn't do it as much as people say, I agree. However

if half of these aren't dives, then he is a f*cking wimpy ass player!! Watch the video. Specifically at :40 and 1:23. Seriously.

As for the question, I think they're both great players. But Malkin might get the slight edge for his takeaways and also for not getting hurt as much.

**edit oh and Captains aren't the only ones who can talk to refs. All the players can, they just prefer the C's and A's to talk to them.
