Did The Leafs Set Themselves Up for Disaster with Signing Kessel?
Based on how the seasons going for the leafs so far (it may be too early to say you never know) but i think Brian Burke made a mistake with trading our draft picks for the signing of Boston Bruins' Phil Kessel. In my opinion this guy is going to have heaps of pressure on him and if he doesn't perform, well, leaf fans get angrier than they already are. Im guessing we're going to get a high draft this year so, we basically robbed ourselves of a top prospect for next year. What do you think?
pressure yes but dont forget he is still a talented player
he is definately over payed, even for his stats last yer which will get considerably worse
but who does he have to support him this year? hes gonna do worse than last year and get paid alot, alot of leafs fans just had to high of expectations
and they kinda screwed themselves outta 3 huge draft picks, not to mention the fact of how much they pay him
boston did walk away with the better half of that trade no doubt
