American Calgary Flames
Are Canadians more patriotic than Americans, or do they just have better National Anthem?
Visited Calgary, Alberta and went to Flames game (they DESTROYED the Avalanche by the way)
When "Oh Canada" was played, the whole crowd sang at the top of their lungs. Americans just don't do this.
Is this because:
1. Candadians are more patriotic, or
2. US National anthem is dang near impossible to sing?
How can we work the phrase "True Patriot Love" into Star Spangled Banner?
One is no better than the other. Both countries have anthems that sing the praise of those who built the nation and what they stand for. And it sings praise of the land itself.
I see no difference. I have attended many games both in US and in Canada and the locals do with such fervor that other countries who are not so patriotic need to learn from the fine examples set by the Canadians and the Americans. They both are GREAT Countries in their own mite.
