am I doing the right thing right now, am i wrong at all?

this guy who used to be my friend after this incident is still after me for the last 4 days. i havent talked to him directly but he still wants to fight me after I pushed during a hockey game.I was protecting me goalie, then he got mad and wanted to fight. I walked away and he kicked me and cursed me out but I just walked away. I was acting a little bit too emtional during the game because I heard my grandma died and my one month vaction had to be cut off for financial reasons. He cant leave me alone, he talks trash about me ever since. we be friends for 4 years and he punched me in the face for pushing during a hockey game. he also tried to get my friends against me. He's trying to get me to play hockey again but I know for sure he wants to beat me up. am I wrong for not applogizing and have not part with him at all until he apolgizes. am I wrong at all from walking from the fight.

You should maybe apologize first or talk to him...maybe he has family issues himself and needs to vent it out on somebody.
