Protective-gear information for the Bums/buttocks needed.?
What protective gear is available for the buttocks when skating or skiing?? I saw some goalie pants (ice hockey) online, but do they have enough padding for the bums? I ask this, as I keep falling on my bums when I skate, roller blade or ski.
OK OK bum, not bums ...cumon.. please be serious and answer this i really want to learn skating; safely...

You may want to try some padding that will protect your tailbone, hips, and bum but won't be as bulky as hockey goalie pants. Try, crash-pads.com or hillbillyprotection.com for some ideas. The great thing about these type of pads is that they are not as bulky as traditional hockey pants. You can wear them under your shorts or pants and they protect you! These type of pads are made for extreme sports like skating, bmx, etc.
If you keep falling on your bottom when you're skating or skiing, it sounds like you are not leaning forward enough. Try to keep your knees slightly bent at all times and your weight over your knees. Then get some knee pads and wrist guards!
